Terms of Use
1. The agreement
bunlo is provided by JRS Content Solutions UG (haftungsbeschränkt), Berlin, Germany (see the Impressum). Your use of the app is governed by Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the Standard EULA), together with these terms. Where the two differ, these terms apply.
bunlo is for people aged 16 and over.
2. Your account
bunlo needs an account. Sign up with an email address, Sign in with Apple, or Google. Give a real email address, keep your sign-in details to yourself, and tell us at the address in the Impressum if you think someone else is using your account. You can delete your account and its data at any time in the app. How we handle personal data is described in the Privacy Policy.
3. bunlo Pro subscriptions
- bunlo is free to use. bunlo Pro is an optional auto-renewing subscription, available weekly or yearly. It adds health explanations without the free plan's monthly limit of 5 questions (fair use applies, section 7) and longer history and trends; the app shows what your plan includes before you buy.
- The price for your country is shown in the app before you buy. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
- The subscription renews automatically at the same price and length unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends.
- Manage or cancel in Settings → your name (Apple Account) → Subscriptions on your iPhone. Deleting the app or your bunlo account does not cancel a subscription.
4. Billing, refunds and your right of withdrawal
Apple sells bunlo Pro to you and handles billing, cancellation and refunds under the App Store's terms. We cannot see your payment details and cannot issue refunds ourselves. To ask for a refund, use reportaproblem.apple.com. If you are a consumer in the EU, your statutory right of withdrawal is exercised with Apple as the seller, under Apple's terms. Your statutory rights are not affected by these terms.
5. Not medical advice
bunlo is a wellness companion. Its scores, including recovery, sleep, strain, stress and biological age, are estimates from documented methods. bunlo is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Do not use bunlo to make medical decisions, and talk to a doctor if you are worried about your health. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.
6. Health explanations written by AI
Health explanations, answers to your questions and the daily challenge line are written by an AI system (Anthropic's Claude) from the data you allow, and are labelled as AI-written. They can be incomplete or wrong, even when they sound certain. They are not medical advice and do not replace a doctor. You decide what you do with them. Do not use health explanations to produce content that harms others.
7. Fair use
Use bunlo for yourself and within the law. Do not try to break, overload or reverse engineer the service, get around plan limits, or access other people's data. We may limit or end access for accounts that do, after a warning unless the breach is serious.
8. Connected services
If you connect Apple Health or a wearable account, that service's own terms continue to apply to it. bunlo shows what those services record and cannot guarantee that their data is complete or correct.
9. Liability
We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, under the German Product Liability Act, and where we have given a guarantee. For slight negligence we are liable only for breach of an obligation that is essential to the contract and on which you may rely, and then only for the damage that is typical and foreseeable for this kind of contract. Otherwise our liability for slight negligence is excluded. These limits also apply to our staff and agents.
10. Changes
We may update the app, for example to fix problems, add features or follow the law, as long as bunlo Pro keeps what it promised for the period you paid for. If we want to change these terms, we tell you in the app before the change takes effect. A change that affects what you pay or what you get needs your agreement; if you do not agree, you can cancel your subscription and delete your account.
11. Governing law and disputes
German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, this does not take away the protection of the mandatory law of the country where you usually live. We are neither willing nor obliged to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
